It all started out in a shed in John’s garden with a group of mates who all shared a passion for music, hearing it live and played well. Many a summer’s eve was spent jamming and having a good time and although the line-up has changed dramatically, the attitude has remained the same…. “Good Music & Good Mates!”

The Shore has constantly gained momentum and during it’s first few gigs with the current line up, reports have quoted:- “The Shore are a brilliant band”, “best band we have ever booked!” and many more encouraging compliments…. We are definitely on the right track!!!

The only original member remaining in the band is the main man up-front, Pete, who hails from Ireland but is now located in Derby . Pete has stuck with the band all the way and even though still young he has vast and varied experience of many different styles and eras; funk, jazz, blues and many others, plus his personal favourite… Rock!

Next in was the man with the big bass sound, Ryan. Coming from Leicester, Ryan has many years experience playing in a number of bands and has been looking for something great to get his teeth into and then the Shore called!

The opportunity for a drummer came about and Ryan called upon a guy he had recently worked with, Daz. Just before joining The Shore, Ryan and Daz had started a band but had failed to find the singer that they deserved. Daz is based in Castle Donington and is a seasoned drummer, musician, DJ and producer running a small studio from home. Daz lives and breathes music and was so excited to find a band with such talent and a great, pro-active attitude.

The final piece if the puzzle was when the guitarist slot became vacant and Pete called upon a guy who was talented, versatile and professional. Roy, who is in high demand as a guitar teacher at his home town of Burton, had played in bands with Pete for a number of years and was without a doubt the guitarist for The Shore.

So, with the line-up now complete, The Shore have played their first few gigs and have received a great reception…. and there is more to come!

Recognizing their versatility and natural musical bond, The Shore are planning to extend their repertoire to cover differing styles of music for occasions such as Weddings and corporate events and also take advantage of the fact that singer, Pete, is also an accomplished guitarist. But don’t fear, there will always be plenty of Rock gigs for these talented music mates to enjoy!
